Collecting endemic wild life?

Besides the missions, I don't see any greater value of collecting the small endemic life creatures. Which I think is kind of sad.
I would love to hunt for those rare versions, if I had somewhere to display them. I just want a room like in MH world back. It was awesome to have a personalised area.

they said we would get a list which isn't a great solution and because i don't like how they currently show them by just having one thing you caught show up in the research tent at the main camp
