I think there is some wind (when fighting wyverns that start flying they can do some "push". I experienced that once against Rathian but maybe it was something else).
Only Gravios comes to mind when it is about tremor. Wind Zoh Shia. But it happens so rarely, in this game and in the previous games, I never considered it as useful.
Earplugs on the other hand: always.
earplugs is by default in my setup
most of the time only level 2, because most monster do only a weak scream
Basically the talisman suffices.
Though, I wish I could do without - but I am not good enough for that. Better players seem to have an easy time just to dodge out of the screams. All I manage is to block them.
you cannot doge or block the screams all the time, because they like to catch me mid air or while locked into a animation
But with SnS I like to parry the scream
If you want a fast optimized run, play with friends or solo honestly.
If you have problems timing the scream of monster, playing with earplugs make sense, especially on some monster.
I prefer someone that never cart, always deal damage but have problems with scream timer, to an over optimized stuff, but the guy don't know how to use it and cart all the time.
I never had any problem with multiplayer, cause i'm not thinking about it too much. And honestly, i fail maybe 1 out of 20 quests in multi ? If i only count Gore, Ark, Mizu, as other monster are just too easy.
People like you more likely will find people with a lot of meta stuff they got on internet, but don't actually understand the game, and thus, are more likely to cart.
valuable slots for more dps?
so you can kill it 10 seconds faster if you dodge the screams perfectly?
Do you also expect randoms to also play with heroic active and never get hit?
i'm working on the talisman, but those upgrades are so sparse.
