In theory yes. But that would kill all the fun considering how hard you have to skip content and show your skills. It would be doable for a veteran player, but not something I would recommend for a new player.
If you just want to try out the armour looks, you can mod it.
And it will come back in the future.
Keep in mind, while it is technically not wrong that you can get everything in a day, thanks to the daily bounties - you still need to unlock the access to all the stuff.
And that simply cannot be done quickly and easily for a new player.
If you wanna disregard that though...yeah you're really gonna have to blaze through 15 hours of gameplay (about story length, not including HR) and then some

I see that at the time of this answer, you own the game. To complete the event you need to go to HR 26 (or 31?) if you want to rush, but at HR 9 you can already slowly have the sakuratide (the main armor of this event). Good luck and have fun hunting. If you want, keep us uptaded!
