The hardest part of AT Rey Dau is hitting him with that damn rock.

I've tried every hunt now but I just can't hit him with that damn falling rock in his lair. He either flaps away, stops short or who the heck knows. I'm just straight up flabbergasted at this point.

Anyways, how many minutes do you think the A rank timer is gonna be for the Free Challenge quest?

You can try a pitfall trap under it and lure it into position. Just make sure it isn't raging, or it will escape quickly.

I dropped that rock on him in my first run lol... snd u can just place a trap under the rock so you make sure he doesn't go anywhere and drop the rock on him

I usually wait for an occasion where some CC might come in hand, throw a luring pod, put a pitfall trap under the rock (and have materials to craft more pitfalls for the capture), he eventually goes into the trap, get some hits to the head, sometimes with KOs in between, then as soon as he leaves the trap I drop the rocks for some extra downtime … easy peasy.
