Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

View Stats:
1st crashed after 240hours of gameplay
I was playing with a RTX 2080 ti, 1080p, 30 to 60 fps swing wildly, turn everything to low. I enjoyed it, until I decided to upgrade to RTX 5080, today. I installed the latest driver, restart my PC and can't wait to play MONSTER HUNTER WILDS on my new GPU. the shader is compiling in no time and as I click Game Start it CRASHED. for the first time.

WHY? is it going to be like this? crashing on a high end GPU???

I have ZERO problem with other games on my RTX 2080 ti. Is this HIGH END GPU is unstable ?

-----
SOLVED (2025.05.02) : uninstalled the latest nVidia driver and switched to older version from February 2025 (version 572.60)

Thank you for your feedback. I'll try to look at it when my previous attempt is failed. Thank you.

Driver rollback to driver version 572.16 should fix it for sure.

Now it's the 2nd time since the first crash. REALLY??? it is not even 10 minutes into the game...
Restart the game, the shader was compiling, CAPCOM logo out, and CRASH...

Changed resolution to 2560 : 1440 ultrawide windowed, lowered the settings to mid - high. Restart the game. Went to hunt Nu Udra, 1 minute into the fight and CRASHED.

Start using the forum and read all the warning about the faulty Nvidia driver. Roll back to the nvidia driver of early february.

Check if your system updated gpu driver and if so go back to an older version.
Especially NVIDIA seems to have problems with the new drivers in dx12/unreal engine games.

The 50 series does have serious problems.

Thx for the feedback, I'll do that. Just try to share and document my experienced so far in real time.

Hi, are you saying that many has the same issue? I installed a later driver from february 2025 but haven't try to run the game. Let's see if the crash persist.
