But the animations stay the same for the same species and some do not even jump at all.
Did you try to use the outdoor gem? it makes fishing easier
you do it only for the glam anyway and to get the gold crowns + achievements.
Also, not blaming the game, just saying that the mechanics are super wonky
I usually bait the big fish near the edge as much as possible to instantly fish them out now.
I didn't even know W+S fast / slowly tapping were the speeds for reeling in fast/slow and im still unsure what exactly is this jumping minigame when it happens.
I thought the controls suggest w/s to slowly jig my bait towards me when it isn't a reel to attract fish.
I loved fishing in every MH game before this but somehow this game makes it seem more of a grind.. There should be more visual guides like in world or something at least when the fish is jumping.
I like the base idea of the fishing mechanics but the most of it doesn't feel natural...
Red dead did it better even in 2018, so i don't get why it feels so wonky
the closer the easier and try to fish in a spot where the fish cannot swim against a object which will strain the line, if you are unsure what to press in certain situation you can always go back to the tutorial or see in the right top which available options you have
but yeah, the fishing mechanic is not very well explained in the tutorial and you need to try a bit to get a feel for it
It's not explained well enough in the game. That is my point.
Either you need to give the player some guides or you need so give them a health bar for the wire that you're using.
but still it doesn't make the game better. The base for this part of the game is ♥♥♥♥ and that's kinda it.. sadly.. imo ofc.
if you have a controller then the rumbling tells you when you damage the line
xbox or ps should work fine. mine stops rumbling if the battery is low
anytime the fish does this its an automatic fail and just feels miserable every time
