^^^ This guy is a straight up liar and troll, please don't engage with him
anyways, for many people who played iceborne (myself included), at rey dau just feels like what should have been the default strength of monsters in this game, because there were normal fights later in the expansion, that atleast felt like thatand it was the most fun. but people also have somewhat wrong expectations for wilds and missleading memories of world as well.
like i went back to world just to compare stuff and it really is not like monsters are mechanically more challenging in base world than in base wilds.
it is kind of inaccurate that wilds has easier fights, but while the fights themselves are not easier, we have much more stuff to work with, to make it feel this way. and naturally you only feel like playing the real game, when you make use of it.
i can easily say, when i would have tried blocking rey dau's attacks in world (just imagine they add him the way he is now to world), i would have died, since there is no perfect block in this game and blocking with gs can actually get you killed there. and well, then there is the stat ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ we have in wilds, to the point where eq early on feels like the broken defender gear in world, that was meant to let new people run through the base game to see the expansion faster. and on top of that, more people are experienced mh players now.
anyways, because of all this, we actually need monsters to be even stronger than in world, to get a somewhat comparable experience. especially when we now have so many experienced players, that all have played world + iceborne already. the thing just is, that capcom wanted new players of any sort to be able to finish the whole game easily.
i think the reason being, that only half of people bought the expansion, seemingly because they already struggled in base world.
seems like it hits less hard than a 5 star temp Rey, did notice the AT Rey was a 3 star.
had one new move and just put aoe on all attacks, very disappointed
They've hyped us for 2 months for this fight and it was really nothing.
just lingering strikes for some of his attacks. That's it.
That took months to develop.
imo, the developers either just don't want to make any fight challenging because they don't see MH as a challenging game (which would be bizarre, because what's the point of getting stronger with gear if there is no challenge).
or, more likely, the developers are DEATHLY AFRAID of the community and the influx of new players to the franchise, that they just won't give us any meaningful challenge.
This game just doesn't have anything in it for veteran players, and seeing AT Rey Dau, I think until the expansion, there also probably won't be.
I disagree, High rank can definetly be hard, but every example i would bring up (at nergi, leshen, akantor, ukanlos, and others) you would Just Say you did It First try, so instead ill make you notice this, why Is, a tempered mizu 5 stars, way harder than the arch tempered Rey dau? Why Is the arch tempered only 3 stars?
