Hybrid Control Scheme?

Is a hybrid control scheme possible at all?

I use both a controller joystick and a mouse for control in a lot of games,

However this game seems to force you to use one or the other, where my mouse buttons don't work if i'm pressing anything on my controller?

Anyone got a work around for this?

Have you setup the settings proper? I recall you can use both in sort of hybrid mode, where you e.g. use controller for main controls and keyboard for hotkeys.
