Jin Dahaad is an absolute joke.
So, i fight Jin Dahaad, not for the first time, but again today. And i wanted, for my own satisfaction, it wasn't needed, cut his tail.

ADN WHAT HAPPENED ? It happens that this moron is SO BIG, his cursed tail is in the wall 50% OF THE FREAKING FIGHT (okay i may exagerate there).
Of course, i make him walk a bit, push him... TAIL IN THE FLOOR.

He finaly died after 15 minutes of struggle to get that tail. Without loosing the tail (was going at it with charge blade, so not the most accurate weapon to break things, SnS definitively work better, but as i said, it's not like i needed for the materials).

Not to mention the carted cause he did an attack that i couldn't see cause he's just too big to enter the camera and you can't see his movement. Well tbf, i was focus on the tail so didn't really watch his head, could have happen with smaller monster, but still very annoying.

He's very poorly designed.

I don't really have a lot of issue with designed and fight (Guardian Arkveld also suffer from his big size, close space and camera, but since regular Arkveld don't or is in more open space, it's not really something to be annoyed about and i can forgive that) but Jin Dahaad, no matter how many time i fight him, i just hate it. Would say with dual blade it was better than with CB or SnS (cause it's kinda cool when you do the wound attack), but still was annoying as hell, and the tail problem is really frustrating (although i don't need the material as i don't do his armor, i just do the Hirabami weapons r8)

Focus on front arms, BREAK them, head to the back.
More likely to have enough room over there due to the fact that it focuses on you (if solo)

If you really need the tail cut, I suggest attempting it with Partbreaker level 3. That way you are more likely to get the tail before killing him.

Also remember that paralysis and shock traps work on him.

I've used both Long Sword and Great Sword to cut its tail and break all of legs and its plates, both with and without partbreaker. Jin Dahaad also often resets its position by walking up the wall/column, so I'm really not sure what you did with the Charge Blade there.

EDIT: never mind, I forgot that my build has partbreaker 1 by default from Arkveld's headgear

Maybe buy it dinner first if you want tail.

He's super easy to break everything on of you bring a paralyze weapon

You must be mistaken, it is a good fight, a reminisce of Safi but more relaxing.

It seems to be a psychological problem with you.
You tell us.
- you don't need the material
- rant about the tail
- and you say it is better with other weapons

Then your tail problem does not matter and the game was designed around using different weapons. The problem as always is in front of the monitor.

It's called ranting.
Please, only self diagnose yourself, i'm not the type to put all my problems on illness and would likely appreciate that random don't suddenly invent themselves shrink. They usually, are very not so and very wrong in their analysis.

in the wall? dunno how you could do that, the tail is long as hell theres plenty of parts of it to hit to break it
ive gotten it multiple times with dual blades

Its when you hyper focus on the tail/hind legs and he, Jin, constantly turns around like a dumbass.
I know I've done that plenty of times and the tail was by the wall/in the wall

I haven't had the issue of the tail clipping myself, I need to check that out.

I usually go for the legs, and each time they break and it falls down I give the head a good whacking until it breaks. Then when it falls again in the future I do the tail and usually get it.

I figured going for head is easier compared to tail when just initially breaking it, as the monster will always "head" for you anyways *bdmp tss*

You want the tail? I've broken the tail off in the first area a few times. Usually break it in the 2nd area. There seem to be a limit on the number of breaks you can achieve in each area before it moves to the next one and unlocks more. And its back only unlocks as breakable after the first time it does its big AoE attack you need the rocks for.
But the tail? Easy.
I use a Fire Bow. Usually the Yian Kut-Ku Bow since it has high element and Pierce Coatings. Works a charm against Jin Dahaad. Just knock him over (break any bodypart) or otherwise immobilise him then Dragon Piercer the tail. Max Partbreaker helps, obviously. And unlike bladey weapons I don't have to go chasing down the entire length of his body to attack the tail.
It shouldn't be too difficult with Charge Blade but you'd need someone else to hold aggro ideally.

Like i said in the first comment, just focus on the front and BREAK the front legs, then go for the tail.
Makes things easier to break the tail and hip armor
