the weapon usage statistics are pointless because it just shows how many ppl play the weapon and not how many are good with it. since you can use 2 weapons i dunno how they acount for it
hbg is still good yet not as in world (currently) lbg style has sadly no side step reload but yeah its the usual mh stuff no one should worry
coz most ppl run ls or dbs
LBG and HBG effectiveness, if using elemental ammo and pierce (the strongest types of bullets in this iteration), depends on the hit zones of the monster and its length, and the weakest against these variables in this game is Gravios.
Bowguns are really, really strong against him.
I don't believe that's true, because I've also seen some of these HBG users in the quest get one-shot by the Gravios. So what, by definition they're not really using the weapon or something? The statistic DOES matter because for every multiplayer quest I join, I see maybe one HBG or LBG every ~5 hunts, if I'm lucky. Way less common than the usual Bow, Longsword, Gunlance, etc. but in this quest 2 out of the other 3 people are always HBG. It reminds me of in Rise when everyone played pierce LBG, but it's just this one quest. It seems so strange, like it's so far removed from the rest of the game that normal player behaviour doesn't seem to apply.
I think artian HBGs are best? What should I try to roll for?
I'd contest and say I see bowgun against Gravios and Uth Duna a lot more than other monsters.
It's just a really efficient farming method right now since you have an infinitely repeatable quest with an event quest, it's in the wounded hollow, and the Tempered monster and ingredient rewards are pretty good.
Probably missed it, because it takes like a minute or 2, just with one might seed, and like 40 seconds going full unga bunga.
HBG works so well because Gravios constantly flinches from the damage, which he is not supposed to do after second belly break. But when he flinches he steps back, so it's kinda tricky to maintain critical distance. You need to trap him near a wall which is easy to do in the arena.
LBG and HBG are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring, the gameplay loop is incredible simple and even people who play only lbg/hbg can't deal with it anymore. Whoever they're very strong and very easy to use, it's much better/easier to shoot water on gravios than play any other weapon.
Nobody needs spread.
