Keyboard Insect Glaive - how to Downward Thrust (spike into ground from mid air)

I tried the new insect glaive but for the life of me can't get the downward spiking move to work.
It says to hold RM while in air but that always just does a Jumping Slash no matter if I'm holding or tapping it

You need to charge the insect glaive.

Some moves only become available if you have the red charge.

i would look up sky sensei on youtube he has a full breakdown on the insect glaive moveset in great detail it was extremely helpful to me
