I logged in a farmed the 2 new armor sets and head pieces, but is that it for the entire event no new bowling rewards or anything else for that matter?

After all the equipment pieces, it's pretty much just wearing Sakuratide to ensure a steady supply of your sakura blossom boom barrels.
