Question about Gift purchase
Me and my friend both own the game (via Steam).
I put the new charms (the fairies) onto my wishlist and he wanted to gift them to me.

However, whenever he tries to make a purchase it does not work and it states "Person does not own the needed game component".

Does someone know how to fix it? I don't know why the purchase is saying I don't own the game.

Things to note:
• He tries to make the purchase with his steam wallet, as he has still money left in it.
• I have hidden the game so "friends" cannot see me playing it. Could this be the reason?

Yes. He cannot buy you the DLC because your game is hidden. Make it public so he can buy the DLC for you, and then hide the game again.

It could be.
To get a certain answer I recommend consulting either Steam support directly or test it out.

If a game is hidden, Steam will pretend you do not own it, after all - for privacy reasons.

Yes, in fact. It was actually on "Private" not only hidden. So this one was a fast solution. Thanks. Who would have thought that the "display" also prevents the purchase.

Thanks and happy Monster Hunting to you~

Well, yes. I meant hidden to the public, not as in 'Hidden Games' in your library.

When you make a game private, Steam simulates that you do not own it for others. Keep that in mind for the future.
