Sealed Eyepatch a, Sinister Cloth, Just Why ????

New players to the game have not got a chance in hell of making this with that material being that it is a random chance to get from materials gathered by npc's or offered in a random trade, this makes no sense why they used this material in the damn crafting of this item.

You can easily refresh the trade list. I see no issues there.

You can easily refresh the trade list. I see no issues there.

You have to get to the point in the game to even get the trades first, then spend god knows how much time collecting whatever is needed for the trade, without spending a god load of guild points to refresh which a new player also will not have, i played non stop when this game started and without constantly resting to refresh stuff which is just a chore it took me about a week and a half to be even offered one normally, that is the problem.

Trade and/or gatherer exclusive items have been a thing ever since I remember, with moga farm exclusive items in tri. I'm not going to say they are exactly fun or engaging to gather, but I'd say give your fellow player a bit of slack, they'll probably figure it out.

The real kicker? One of the event quests (granted, the most obnoxious one) offers Great Hornflies as a potential RNG post-quest reward, so they clearly had some planning involved for the "trade exclusive" items being obtained via event quests for the event gear; not sure why they didn't slap Sinister Clothes onto the Wu fight (this even fits thematically!), since the hunt otherwise doesn't offer anything unique compared to the Lala's Hornfly and the Gravios' food vouchers and ingredients.

This right here is what i thought, that perhaps the sinister cloth was meant to be added as a possible reward from the events but they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and forgot to add it, otherwise r.i.p all newbies to this getting even a sniff of a chance getting that headpiece.

You don't lose the recipes, so just gather everything else and hold onto it until you get the rest.

Of course not everyone will know exactly where all the materials come from, so they may not know which materials are event only and which materials are rare rewards or trade materials.

You can farm the tickets and worry about sinister cloth later. Sinister cloth comes from trading. I traded a lot of gobletweed in exchange for coins, and used coins to get the cloth. Regardless of whether you get the cloth now or later (its not event locked btw) you'll have the tickets.

Pointing out a problem that new players are going to have getting an item, not complaining at all i am pointing out something they could have done different, but you on the other hand just jumping in a thread with nothing to the conversation at all just to troll, bet ya do that alot huh.

There will be no issue for new players considering how much you get from the daily bounties. And the event last long enough too. Plus the armour does not matter that much and will return in the future.

Ahhhh i get it now, so you get sinister cloth from doing the dailys and bounties....., have you made it yet ?, if not do not make it until next year when it returns and see how much it bugs you !.

I doubt you get it. But nonetheless it does not matter.

You get plenty of event items almost automatically just by playing. And once the recipes are unlocked you can take your time with all the other materials. There is no rush.
