[Crash Fix] Potential Fix for Frequent Crashes
Potential Fix for Frequent Crashes

Issue: Game crashes consistently during 1st/2nd hunt regardless of:
✓ Mod usage status
✓ With or without CPU/RAM overclocking
✓ Tried various fixes → Still crashing

Working Solution:
• Rolled back NVIDIA driver from 576.02572.83
• Stable 6-hour session achieved with zero crashes

Tip:
Avoid updating GPU drivers until official optimization patches arrive.

TL;DR: If crashing, try 572.83 . If crashing persists, try 572.60.

How can I fix stop the game from crashing. Game will start and get to the end of intro credits and then crash. I've made sure drivers were updated, checked for corrupt files through steam, turned off frame generation, I don't have any overclocking or overlays enabled, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, I've tried removing crash handler files temporarily, I've made sure to have the game as an exception in my firewall, I've run the game as an admin and in compatibility mode. Nothing I've found online seems to be working. I can run COD no problem but after playing this game for a week it seems to only crash during startup. It was playing great and then crashed after battle with guardian rathalos. I did notice some black lines starting to appear during the battle like the frames were dropping or something. I can't seem to figure this one out.

what card are you using? I'm going to try the rollback on my 5070ti

It works, my 5070 ti would freeze on loading wilds or within 5 mins on 576.02 and 576.15. On 572.83 it doesn't even with OC when core clock is +400 and memory +2000 thus far. Card running at 3292 Mhz.

Based on your description, try installing the 576.15 driver from NVIDIA's official hotfix page https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5650 . If that doesn't resolve the crashes, roll back to 572.83 instead.

Important note: The 576.15 driver specifically addresses RTX 50-series GPU issues according to NVIDIA's documentation. For non-RTX50 users, going directly to 572.83 may be more effective.

576.15 crashed instantly upon loading in game for monster hunter wilds on my 5070 ti, so I just rolled back to 572.83 and works fine for now (as did before on this driver)
On 5070Ti, Both 576.02 and 576.15 hotfix crashes MH Wilds within minutes in game, with or without Crash Reporter Tool triggered.

Many RTX 5070ti users are reporting stability issues. Recommend rolling back to driver 572.83 first, and if instability persists, try 572.60.

I gave up testing combinations of different configurations for 576.xx driver, ended up using back 572.83 driver which has been running stable for me. I'm not a QA tester for Nvidia mess here.

5080 is stable with 572.83.. so you are telling me the hotfix still crashes the game? how is this even possible. This is one of the biggest games out there currently. Surely Nvidia would have tested it at least for 5 minutes

never had problem with the game before this recent patch/event, now almost every hunt crashs..
576.02 with a 5080

I'm on Rog Ally, and everything was relatively crash free...until this Spring Festival went live.

Same here, 5070 ti and 9800x3D. I upgraded specifically to improve the framerates on this game, and now it crashes constantly. It worked flawlessly on my old 3070 rig, albeit at 40 fps. Come on Capcom/Nvidia.
