1. highly CPU depending
2. Native = no
3. DLSS = maybe -> situation/environment depending.

Not even stable native 60fps is possible at 1440p on 7800x3d and 4090 at certain area in the game. Your best bet is DLSS quality/performance at 4k and turn on framegen. It will be hovering around 90-120 with some dips to 80's during plenty season in Windward plain and Scarlet forest. Your real fps not counting the framegen would be 40-60fps even with DLSS at 4k.

DLSS performance and you should have 120fps most of the time (situation depending).

True. I have a 4080 Super and 9800x3d and that's exactly how it runs, pretty badly. It rarely goes over 100 even with framegen. Don't think I have ever seen this game run at 115 fps which is my frame lilmit.
An RTX 5090 dips down to 74 fps on 1440p, so good luck.

With Framegen it should easily stay above 100. Have you only tried DLSS or also FSR?

He’s running it at DLAA and he also turns off frame gen in second half of video

FSR looks and runs way worse than DLSS on my system. And what does it mean "should"? There's no "should" with this broken game, it can run completely different on two systems with same hardware as tests have shown.

Thats why i said "should". Others with the same hardware have no issues holding over 100fps with upscaling.
I got a 4090 Suprim X with a 14700K (old Microcode/bios with 300W Max)
Play with High Res. Texture-pack
4K Max settings DLAA4 + FG (not DLSS)
get around 120 FPS (sometimes 115-130 FPS. never below)
55" OLED 120Hz with Gsync on / Vsync off
no stutter issues for me...or crashes
(Win10 22h2 19045 without direct-storage)

With DLSS4 Qual its 20-40 FPS more, still looks good.
I think your 4080 is a little bit behind my FPS.
But take care bc VRAM. my 4090 got 24GB... check it in a Benchmark test
Some games needs with 4K Max settings between 16-20GB VRAM. Not 100% sure bc wilds. check it out later for you.

14700K is more then enough for this game
around 20-30% utilization for me

Take care with newer Nvidia driver. Lot of problems...
i play with 572.47

and dont forget to activate DLSS4 in the Nvidia APP. Gamechanger to DLSS 3

No idea why this game runs so bad on my system. Maybe it's because of windows 10 but I won't upgrade to buggy win 11 for one game. I use DLSS4 too with DLSS swapper and NVPI, unfortunately there are many image quality issues with flickering vegetation for me and other people since update 1 as long as any kind of DLSS is active, even the older CNN model. And I won't even try newer drivers as long as nvidia meltdown mode continues, I'm still on 566.36.

i edited my post
i use WIn10 22h2 19045 without direct storage.
And i think a lot of ppls got problems with newer windows versions.
Mostly Win11

Thats why i dont upgrade... i Use soon LTSC version or similiar of Win10. (usable until ~2032 i think)
I got 0 problems with Black myth, Indiana Jones, WIlds and other games the last 12 month.

i would Try 572.47 or 1 newer.
A lot of ppls got 0 problems.
40 and 50series.

My image is perfect.
I use the ingame Settings to change colour and other stuff.
I use the NVCP to change contrast + digital colour settings and other stuff.
And my OLED got a gaming-setup for picture quality and low reaction times, sharpness.....
without those settings wilds looks a bit boring / colourless or something and a little bit blurry

Nah FSR is superior in this game. Image quality is a bit worse, but hardly noticeable imho unless you put them side by side with little movement.

DLSS has extreme ghosting issues in certain areas in this game and they can't be fixed, no matter what settings you change. You can eleviate them but not get fully rid of them. Swapping to DLSS4 with preset J works best for me. K was terrible.

With default settings, it's some of the worst crap I've seen, even the HUD text constantly artifacts all over the place, completely unacceptable.

Doesn't happen with FSR. If they updated to FSR4, you'd be much better off with that imho. But I do not believe they'll ever do that.

I use DLSS4 and DLAA4 since 80-90 hours and NEVER got any ghosting issues in this game.
First 30 hours with DLSS 4 qual.
