1: I am OP
2: The post topic was Dragon vs Paralyse.
Yeah, Paralyse is better.
you only switch to ele for weak monsters where the para isnt needed or possibly zo shia.
dragon is unique due to the ele convert skill that not only boosts your dragon damage but also adds extra bursts of bonus damage for hundreds per pop depending on level.
Maybe if and when more Elder Dragons get added and maybe a more worthy Elderseal functionality then Dragon would be more enticing.
For single player you have to weigh the options more. Give it a go and see if you have any clear benefit of using the dragon weapon against the monster.
Consider things like:
-Are you usually attacking the parts that have the highest weakness?
-Do you use a few strong attacks or prefer to do many weaker attacks?
-Do you have other attacks that will cause stun, knockdown etc?
-How do you take advantage of the monster being paralyzed?
but there are people who swear on poison or para and in the end its personal preference.
I like the Zoh Shia weapons because the skill is quite nice and gives fast but rather weak weapons like SnS a good boost the longer the fight goes on
Against Arkveld for exmaplke Paralyze is better tha Dragon since it was terrible elemental hitzones.
Zoa Shia however is hard to paralyze but easy to exploit with elementals
I even use it sometimes (if i end up without element advantage cause i chain hunts) with my CB (although CB definitively better with elemental, due to the discharge).
Every elemental sns wins on para sns on right matchup.
If you can deal consistent damage then elemental sns with 4p gore is the absolute best rn.
3 raw/2 sharpness augument.
Arkvled you play para sns cause his chains have 0 HZv on non charged state. So overall you are losing dmg with dragon sns.
I literally have Blast, Fire, Water, Thunder, Ice, and Dragon sets for each weapon I use (Each set using a Para version of that weapon in the 2nd slot), because it's actually better DPS than Raw with very little time investment. But you'll always have people spouting "it's not worth the min-max to make it better!" because they can't be bothered to take the 10s to swap loadouts
