Do mods still work?
After the last update this game FINALLY started launching a game. Since I've been soured on it I didn't do much testing. Just grabbing sign-in tickets and walking around the camp for a little bit. Today I decided to give it a full go to check performance and when it will crash again. So I re-installed all my mods from the last time the game functioned. The game refused to load, showing nothing but a black screen. I've gone ahead and uninstalled it and deleted everything for a fresh install again. What I'm wondering is, is this another case of complete incompetence from Capcom/The Devs in breaking what was previously working, or is this a straight up effort to block mods entirely?

Mods still work fine after the update. Just make sure reframework is up to date.

Game updates can never break mods.

This is exceptionally untrue.

That depends entirely on the mod. If it's a purely cosmetic mod, then yeah, the likeliness that the mod will break is usually very low, or completely non existent. If it changes some gameplay elements, adds QoL stuff, etc, then it may break. I had a permanent black screen right after TU1, because I had a few mods that changed gameplay, that made the game harder for me. I had to temporarily uninstall them and wait for them to update, as well as the other mods that were required for them to function.

Exactly. Every PC player should know this.
