What is capcom even doing now?
Let's forget about the game itself for a moment (and breathe a sigh of relief), and let's forget they are trying to get mmo-level engagement out of this game for some reason, but banning modders is such an odd choice.

Every monster hunter fan I know of buys the pc version just to mod. It isn't the terrible performance and cpu-melting that made monster hunter sell so well on pc, it's the ability to mod.

My original hypothesis around release that capcom is trying to torpedo their franchises so they can replace them or move into media other than video games is looking more likely by the moment. I get there was a massive change in developers and company leadership not that long ago, but there's no way the new devs / managers are that out to lunch.

That is nonsense.

The game is great and there is no need to mod it to begin with to get all the enjoyment out of it.

The modding discussion at the moment is also nonexisting outside of Steam forums and some panicky guys.

Capcom is taking measures to protect the players, and it would be bad if they did not. All is standard procedure and there is nothing special about it.

there are commissars from eastern bloc countries that would blush at this level of propaganda.

ignore that other guy mister they spam asking people to post DIAX logs and suggest all kinds of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ to fix the games ♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance.

The game ISNT GOOD. ive THOUSANDS of hours in MH over the console generations and in my honest opinion wilds is in a worse state then Rise was at this point in its life. Except Rise ran really well (a given as its a switch title) and didnt force fed all the things you would grind for down your throat like you were a baby who needed their hand held you had to actually farm monsters ya know like in a MONSTER HUNTER game.

MH wilds, Dragons dogma 2 both commercial successes (they both did huge numbers in sales cant deny that) BUT THEY BOTH SUCKKKKKKKK. at least they have a lot of Micro transactions tho! gotta keep the share holders happy! :)

Well, capcom fails at releasing a true widescreen experience, only god knows why. Unfortunately you need a mod to fix it.
1. THey dont ban mods, they simply cant and that they know
2. They try to get cheaters out, not realizing that most proper meta elite hunters do the same without cheats... sorry , white fatalis 2 minutes? NORMAL FOR THEM! And thats the strongest and hardest monster fight EVER to be put inside the series!

So their more concerned about "contend being eaten up to fast" than cheaters and such. Easy solution would be : Ignore graphics being top notch, go back to Frontier, develop a sequel, add ALL monsters that exist to it and we are good. We dont nessesarily need story, we want monsters to hunt, nothing more. This here franchise is a reverse on Monster Girl quest, where you come for the porn and stay for the story. We come for story and stay for hours uppon hours of destroying monsters as we please!

No, I buy the PC version because I prefer gaming on PC, I don't want to mod.

i hear this the first time .... dont think anyone buys the game on pc to mod it
you either have a console and buy it, or have a pc and buy it there

most mods are useless fancy stuff anyway
its not like we could mod in new maps or monsters

The fact is that Capcom don't really care about PC players and they don't care about Non-Japanese players in general. They've got everyone's money now, so they may well proceed to take actions that alienate huge swathes of the PC playerbase without it impacting them in any way they would actually give a damn about.

In any case... I take exactly the same stance I took with Elden Ring: If they force me to choose between online content and mods, I'll choose mods every time. It isn't even a contest. And I'm never buying another FromSoft game with EAC again... so if Crapcom pull the same crap and sabotage their own games harder than they already do.... well, too bad. I'll know better than to touch any of their soiled sh!t in future.

*Waves* I do.
I wouldn't play this game unmodded. Simple as that. The last MH game I played without mods was MHGU. Wilds is so awful it needs mods just to make it tolerable. I pity anyone whose standards are low enough to play this game vanilla.

I bought it on PC because I wanted to mod it, it was more fun than playing it on console. From my experience playing World before on PS4 and buying it again on PC to mod the armor I liked, the experience was much different and worth it.

But now I became GAY. WTF lol

Alot of MH fans boujght MH games on PC because it runs so much better on PC, and yes, that includes Wiilds despite it being the harshest on performance.

We dont play with lower FPS. We dont play at 480/720p upscaled (Well you might... but I p[lay on 1440 DLSS Q).

They aint goin to ban regulair modders. They're just banning leader board cheaters and people whom bypass paid dlc.

I disagree.
I only bought this game because of mods and I only keep playing this game because of mods lols.
I wont unstall them.
If they want to ban me for using them, so be it lols, game is worthless to me without them.
Buf it they do ban me, I will never buy another MH game heh.
First time they fool me, the fault is theirs, the second time, it is mine.
