Anyone with a RTX 50 series card needs to revert to FEB/MAR GPU drivers for now.
Thats what is causing the crashes in most cases.
RTX 30 series cards are reporting really bad frames since the latest GPU driver update.
If the game still doesnt run after you reverted your GPU drivers find the FEB/MAR version online and do a clean re-install of the drivers.
Delete shader.cache in the games folder too so its forced to compile them again.
This *should* work for the mentioned RTX cards.
//EDIT: I cant remember which month the previous GPU driver released so i adjusted it to FEB/MAR.
As long as you dont have the april GPU driver version it *should* work.
//EDIT2: This is for NVIDIA cards ONLY.
What about for 20 series cards? I started randomly crashing before the hotfix that fixed a lot of crashing issues and I was suddenly able to play the game fine again yesterday then today its just crash after crash. I was on the Nvidia 572.83 drives and updated to the recent drivers to see if that would fix it but now my game crashes on launch..
All i know is that the april GPU drivers are faulty in some way. When i skimmed the issue through google yesterday i saw a lot of mentions for the 50 series with occasional reports on the 30 series.
I havent looked since and for the most part reverting seems to have helped for now.
You can try google the issue for yourself and see if there has been any updates on it.
Decided to update it myself, and about 15mins after updating, game keeps freezing on me. I was literally playing on hours earlier before I updated.
All issues are gone when I reverted back to 572.83 (March Release). I didn't need to delete my game's shader cache when I reverted, but it might be a good idea to do so anyways.
