are pills or short buffs worth?
I usually bring in every quest both power and defense charm and regular demon drug and armorskin. "not the mega ones, im saving those for now"

There is a point to use short buffs like might pills or demon powder?
I feel time is too short to make it worth...
Might seed is fine "3 minutes"
Demon powder since its a upgrade should be 4 or 5 minutes
Might pill should be 60 seconds

and even with those upgrades I dont think I would use them hehe ^^;

if Demon powder last 5 minutes i could consider to use 2 in each hard quest like zoh shia.

They are worth it to maximise damage output or defense in certain situations.

Personally I use only Mega drinks, powders, seeds and the defense pill. The might pill is too short for me but can be utilise well in multiplayer.

Not worth the hassle. Too little gain for too short a time. Unless you are using SnS, then go ahead - you can used them with your shield up. Even then, I am too lazy to find them in my inventory and use them before I burst a downed monster.

Maybe for later Arch Tempered monsters. Where every little bit helps. Who knows.

For now you don't even N-E-E-D Demondrugs, it's just a bonus. But it lasts a long time and is cheap to make so it would be silly not to pop one every now and then. Armor drugs don't help much, if at all.
Pills overwrite your mega drugs, just stack nuts and powder ontop. Both nuts and powder last 3 minutes, so pop those every now and again to keep your defence and attack up. I made a buff set with wide range that increases the duration of those buffs and consumption speed, each hunt I slam all three buffs; mega drugs, nuts, and powder. Then swap to my main set, once the powder and nuts wear off, I consume them again. The benefit being that powder applies to hunters nearby increasing everyones dmg and defence.

Why not just add a radial tab with all buffs on it to make it easier to find?

correction, pills overwrite nuts, not drugs. drugs/megadrugs/mushroomancer attack/defence buffs dont stack together, and nuts/pills dont stack together.

but yes, most people dont bother with drugs as you dont NEED them right now. or even when people do bother, they use drugs only as they last a long time, or stack drugs, powder and nuts. pills just dont last long enough to be worth it, unless you're going against things like arch tempered elder dragons which we wont be getting for a long while.


i did find powder and nuts decently useful when running a support HH for tempered mitzune tho, as a lot still tend to cart on those. defL melody, powders and nuts seem to keep people alive even they get hit by the tail whip often, and powders and nuts are cheap enough. mega drugs, not so cheap.

One speedrunning method in Wilds is to eat seed and powder with item prolonger and swap equipment before starting the hunt. The effect will last 4:30 minutes which is the average clear time for most monsters (maybe except Zoh Shia).

On the other hand, monsters usually move around every 3 minutes. So even if we take longer in a hunt, the window is just perfect for a rebuff.

For Zoh Shia though, I guess we can rebuff while baiting it for a boulder drop.
