Is this game still not optomized?

The game works fine for me for the most part, but my friend that I wanted to play this game kept having his game crash and he doesn't have a weak computer. Basically I want to know if they had any optimization patches since release?

No real performance optimizations. Still runs like crap, but the latest patch fixed a handful of issues that were causing crashes.
