It makes the reward slightly less special, but also nearly impossible for average players to get it due to said cheating. But at the same time the reward was made meaningless by the cheaters as well.

They'll likely just make A rank times harder to achieve to keep the challenge, I feel. But this is definitely better overall for game health.

Capcom said before TU1 that arena rewards would also be attainable after the arena quests. They just sped this up.

Given its only original meaning was "This player hacked to get this item", meaninglessness is a step up.

I worked very hard to squeak out an A rank for lance, so i'm happy with this change.

This also makes me more likely to do more of these events.

You can do it! I got it with a 4:56 on my 3rd attempt.

What weapon are you using? What is causing the struggle?

they weren't meant, in fact, for the average player, Duo leaderboard was pretty chill.
Only top 1000 were delusional 100% cheaters, rest was good players or soft cheaters but top 3000 was really doable anyways. 3 Days of grinding wasted just to get 2'12 and top 3100.
I just hope they are gonna add another rank for Rey Dau arena cause it's basically worthless at this point.

I do see the reason why people cheated. Getting 2 30 on Chatacabra is no easy. This ideas is just terrible with or without cheaters.

I took a lot of time to hit 2'08 with HH, and then hit 2'13 on pc as well.
There's absolutely no point on being salty about it. 1'40 is achievable and every cheater would run around this time and not even get caught. Even if the next challenge would be 1'00 for the supposed SS everyone would get it anyway because at this point it would incentive people to cheat.
