am i doing the moonflower pollen farming method wrong.
ive had like 3 full moons durring fallow and plent and no flowers.

does it have to be the evening the next day and i wait until night? is that what im doing wrong?

I want to clarify i am using guild points to sleep until a full moon. not spamming the same mission over and over again.

Fairly certain they fixed the original methods so you can't just spam the same mission over and over again.

that method got patched out unless there's a new one I'm unaware of

Go to sleep, choose fallow and evening. Close the game. Restart the game. Go to spot. Wait 5 minutes. Get pollen.
The flower opens at the transition point between Evening and Night. If you sleep until Night, you miss it and it never happens.
You need to sleep night to night until you get the Waxing Gibbous (i.e. nearly full but dark on the left side), then sleep until Evening and go to wait by the flower. It will open the moment the symbol in the lower left turns to Night.

If you can't see the moon due to the weather, just sleep until Night / Plenty and count off the nights until the Waxing Gibbous and then do the sleep until Evening as I said.

Also, depending on your view of mods and cheating, there is a mod that tells you what moon phase you have. Takes out the guess work during bad weather.
Fact 1: if you reset the game, like quitting and restart, the game gives you full moon the next night you encounter in game. No counting nights required.

Fact 2: the flower ONLY blooms at sunset. You must be PRESENT DURING SUNSET ON THE MAP when it happens. If you wake at night, you don't see sunset.

So the closest point you can get to the pollen is rest until fallow evening or plenty evening, quit, restart game, the game will give you full moon next night, wait until sunset.

The method got patched.

This isnt of interest to you at first until you realize the possible method they used to patch that exploit.

They put the flower on a timer that ticks down independent of resting like your buffs do.

Its why some people, myself included, get to harvest those nightflowers in the middle of the day.

At least thats how it looks like to me.

//EDIT: Oh and also.. The most reliable way to get the flowers to bloom without having to jump through hoops is to check the desert map whenever you get back from a quest.
Filter for icons and its sometimes just on there. They sometimes dont give you pollen even if they were on the map tho.

So idk what they did to the spawns but they are wonky.

i already got 6 golden relic tickets. i can confirm that you have to sleep until the evening the next day when theres going to be a full moon or else it doesnt work.

Well then there seems to be more than one method working because i wasnt lying about having them harvestable during the day.

Its why i assumed they must be on some sort of IRL timer.
