Should I feel bad I cant sub 5 the arena challenge?

been at it for a few hours and can still only do 6 minutes. Im not sure what i should be doing with glaive because the bug is the slowest one and you dont have the damage output for fast wounds, and im no good at the bow. I would essentially need to learn the other weapons and master them in just a few hours if those are better builds. Seems its rotating out tonight.

You can't have a 100% Capture record. Fun fact: this is the first game in the franchise where it's impossible to, because you're locked in a room with Chatacabra and then Quematrice before you're allowed to have Trap Tools.

try lance and gun lance they r very simple to play just block and atk and u can beat all arena under 5 min

As it stands, Idc much for this leaderboard. On certain weeks it will suit certain weapons users far more than others, ultimately skewing the overall leaderboard and where you should stack up.

In the first two days me and a buddy, who have never used GS and HBG, managed to get in the top 7k before being booted off the list.

Just explore and you might find something that is pretty good.

Just grab the HBG, hold back and keep shooting. Both HBG and HH are the two best weapons for this challenge. HH can legit get under 2 minutes and HBG can do it just over 2 minutes in a pretty trivial manner.

Not always the case. Some of the fastest GS runs only use the HBG to get demon buff, and still sharpen in the middle of the hunt.

HH, the best weapon for this, can get under 2 minutes without sharpening at all.

Sadly Rathain doesn't has Demon buff ammo i just go with 2 GL.

I been working at it, now uh I main sword an shield.

With the Greatsword trying to get Chatacumbra down in under 3:30
Best time so far was 4:55

Been learning on how to use Greatsword in this fight.
Learned about the 3 charge ups
Learned about the shoulder check interrupt mid charge up,
That move is a real bear of a move man, the timing is gotta be so tight its unbelievable. Like alright gotta hit the button just as he connects his fist to your face!? Like that is way too tight!
Also the aftermath of pulling off a charge move most times you cant chain so you cant even get to a shoulder check, character is just help me I've fallen an I cant get up call a doctor I busted my hip.
So something that I'm trying there is block cancelling but I found also you can roll/dodge.
Roll/Dodging in this game is way ridiculous 95% of the time its a waste of time an effort!
So I'm still figuring that one out, trying to roll forwards now figuring Chatcumbra's momentum is going to carry him past me if I roll forward maybe.
99% of the time its like I push buttons nothing happens and the game doesnt do my inputs!??
Its like there is no input que either you have to hit the button at the right time in the animation sequence and the kicker is if you have that button pressed nothing is going to happen at all until you pull your finger off the button and hit it again an I swear this controller works fine but if I didnt know better I'd think it was a hardware problem.

I also have used a lot of Lance even do a lot of monsters with Lance in the main game.
My best time with Chatacumbra is 3:20 seconds and honestly I got knocked down maybe twice in those fights.
Probably did about half a dozen goes on Lance but ended up trying the other weapons.

Light Bowgun dont really have it figured out but man does it seem easier than great sword.

If you have the time (and motivation) to learn other weapons, you can watch a few runs from youtube and try to imitate them. Even if you fail and stumble a few times, you would eventually land a sub 5 with enough luck.

As others have mentioned HH is currently your best bet because someone got a sub 2 on that weapon. The second choice being GS with a sub 3 and considerably easier to pull off compared to HH. I'm not sure about the best time for IG, but I did see someone manage to finish in sub 4 with quite a few mistakes. So the chance is definitely there.

Good luck and remember to have fun! Really, you don't need to feel bad just because you can't land a good time with such limited options.

first thing you gotta know about monster hunter is youll get em next time champ... seriously when i started i sucked real real bad back on the psp and didnt really play another monster hunter till world then i dropped like 1100 hours into that and another 700+ into rise and now im at like 300 in wilds... dont be hard on yourself you are human itll click give it time.

I dislike the only 10k people ( with hack ) get to have pendant , should have been if you get A rank you get pendant instantly .
Anyways , don't forget that you also have items , like Lance / HH set have power seed which boost your attack a bit , every buff is needed to cut down timer .
