Softlocked by Bug?
I recently got to the HR 6 Wyveria investigation story quest and after setting up camp in the canopy, the quest simply doesn't progress. When instructed to get on the seikret, it doesn't move, I'm unable to make it move, I cannot dismount or switch weapons or anything. My game isn't frozen, everything is still idling but the seikret doesn't begin walking towards the next point of interest.
This is my third time playing thru the story of Wilds and I noticed that this time around the canopy camp was set up with the DLC decorations (Doshaguma chairs and Palico bed) rather than it being the blank default option so the seikrets are standing in the chairs and my palico is in the bed rolling around instead of getting on the seikret with me for the mission. I'm wondering if the DLC decorations are causing something to get stuck which in turn doesn't allow the seikret to move.
As a result of this softlock, I'm unable to fast travel away from the location and can't return to base camp to turn off the camp decorations or reset the quest in any way, even before mounting my seikret. The only thing I can do is open my options menu and close the game. Restarting the game did not fix this issue either, I'm softlocked every time.

Is there anything at all I can do on my end to fix this? Or do I have to hope for a bug fix in the future?

Best to consult Capcom Support directly if you suspect a DLC related bug like that.

Send them your savegame either via contact form or email support@capcom.com
Hi, I've the same issue. I'm sure is from the palico bed, because I got the problem at an other time, but by skipping the cinematic my palico doesn't had the time to go sleep and directly go on my seikret. But like a dumb I forgot to remove the bed, so now I'm softlock because my palico go to sleep before the cinematic

If this is true that's pretty crazy.

Would it be the first time a company rushed out DLC for an unfinished game and ended causing a progression bug due to their greed?
Everyone's favorite thing in modern gaming. Poorly coded quest reward bugs and permanently missing those rewards because of it.

Exactly the same problem for me.
I hope it gets fixed, soon.

The workaround is to delete the dlc for the palico bed. You can install it later, again.

It's crazy that even the DLC is rushed and broken.

I forgot to reply to this but I did contact Capcom about the issue and their solution was to, and I quote, "Get on your seikret before your palico gets in the bed". I literally had to race against my palico to start the quest. They said they're aware of the bug and are going to fix it.
I won't comment on my thoughts about the game but I don't believe this is greedy in the slightest, bugs happen, ♥♥♥♥ isn't perfect off the bat. And we have to remember, the devs are not at fault for the poor decisions made by executives. Be nice to them please.

It's supposed to be one of the fixes in the hotfix just now.
