I'm so unlucky with teammates
My sleep GS can't hit a sleeping target because my teammates keep hitting the sleeping monster. is this how stupid this new generation of hunters?

It isn't just MH veterans anymore. The big majority are tourists and have no idea of this "hunter code" that we veterans know well.
Not like sleep wakeup is needed anymore... considering how fast hunts are completed in this game.
i gave up and switched to para GS. it is not worth the hassle
It's weird. When I was new to World I never remembered people having no patience and hitting sleeping monsters like they are in Wilds. It rules a basic, obvious, unspoken rule; when a monster goes to sleep in the middle of a fight, stop, drop your barrels, then let a GS, or gunner or bow wake him up.

I feel like people want to speedrun every single fight they get into. They've no patience for waiting for the barrels when a monster sleeps, just bash your buttons.

Yeah, it's really sad.
I love MH so naturally, I want to be playing it for longer. This means that I want for my favourite hunts to take longer, and I want to engage with the mechanics. I don't care about the timer, or the rewards. I just love the game itself. MH's charm was also partly derived from the etiquette that has existed since the beginning, so it's sad to see it die out as the playerbase got bigger.
I really don't understand what's the rush.

I'm so glad 6th gen hunters are this trash, finally the 5th genners have something to favourably compare themselves to.

Difference in mindset. You can compare that with so many things nowadays.

Starts with young people in the west not realising how important rituals are at the dinner table. Everything has to go fast, everything has to be "to go", with disregard for quality, or what actually made certain experiences valuable.

There is a reason why certain scientists have found a correlation between obesity and lack of grace before meals. It sounds funny at first, but if you look closer into it you can get scared how crazy accurate it seems.

To save frustration on my GS I switched to para when on multiplayer hunts, solo I use sleep.

You can't fix stupid nowadays and then when you try to, everyone is so soft they try and report you somehow or are so entitled that they can't even comprehend that there's another pov on the other side.

Funny how you can learn about real life in video games. I've learned about people so much just by gaming for over 35 years.

To cope with it I've just assumed, at first, that everyone is dumb and that they have to prove to me that they're not. Based off these experiences, I've been proven correct more often than not by my first assumption.
You cant expect everyone in random groups to move to the beat of your drum. If you don't like pugging just play with friends. or alone.

I agree. I do expect the pugs to be stupid. Which is sad.
People prefer to bonk monster instead of waiting because the setup time isnt worth it, and just attacking is the preferred choice

My brother used it.
Annoyed me because all it does is just waste time.
I do, however, leave it to him when the monster goes to sleep

Sleep is good solo. Para is for multiplayer because team mates cannot be trusted.

I believe the social fabric will restitch itself when things like the extra damage and recovery time from a sleep are actually, you know, important.

At the current state of Wilds, it's ritual for the sake of ritual. The double damage TCS isn't going to be the difference between a successful hunt or an unsuccessful one, like even some of the tougher gen5 monsters. Mid-combat sleep probably happened while the rest of your team was deep in a combo and didn't care to disengage - and frankly, they don't have to.

I believe that things like "let TCS wake up the monster" existed because in prior gens you needed every advantage against the monster. Now that the monster needs every advantage against you, it has no reason to exist, and people have no reason to go along with the ritual.
The issue are not just the randoms or newbies.

The issue is the game itself!

With the changes made, monsters nerfed and so on... hunts are too fast and too forgiving. Poeple don´t need to heal that often, they don´t even need proper bufffood, they don´t need most of the items in general. Just pick everything up inbetween because there is an insect on a wall. Poeple just don´t need a short break within those fights...

Even worse is the situation of sharpness. I remember moster where i had to find a safe spot or actually used those sleeping-proccs to sharp my weapon for damage and to get ride of rebounds.
What do we do here? Attack until the monster runs into the next section or at worst we jump on our Saikrii, run in a circle and do this job safely.

Players don´t have to take care for much things in wilds and that´s why noone even cares status-effects and items / buffs in general anymore. They simply exeggerated it with "QoL-features" which lasted in a less interactive gameplay-scenario with tons of kinda useless things from old days.

Exactly and that´s so fking sad... I truly miss some fights lasting atleast 30minutes and wanted everything the player can throw on them!
Now we can even bring 2 different weapons at once, but noone really needs that for an advantage in fights, it´s just QoL for multiple hunts or not to get bored asap....

putting a monster to sleep is 90% of the time a waste of time, everyone gotta stop attacking for the animation time and end up spending time coordinating a sleepbomb and let the person with the biggest 1 shot hit and then like all that time couldv been spent beating the monster up anyway

its just inconvenient mostly and people dont pay attention to the que of them sleeping

i only put a monster to sleep when I see teammates saying low ammo/sharpness/etc (i use a bow for it)
but we are on the same voice chat on discord always so

again
forever in online coop in MH you'll always get ppl waking up the sleeping monster cuz they dont notice or dont care
