What Is Your Opinion Of MHWild's Gameplay?
None of this post is to bash other people or their opinions, I just want to see other people's opinions on the game.

Atm, I feel a bit mixed about the game. My main issue is how Wounds interact with Monsters and how it makes some fights way too easy.

I think wounds generally should be harder to inflict and the visual indicator for wounds should be reduced so you have to better keep track of what parts are weak or arent weak. On top of that, Im fine with wounds staggering a monster but I dont think Hunter-applied wounds should ever result in a knockdown. "Weakpoints" that show up after a monster's attack (e.g. Rey Dau's horns opening after their Obliteration Ray attack) should still be a thing and should still result in a knockdown, since they at least reward positioning and timing.

Ive seen a few complaints about Focus-Mode being clunky but honestly I dont see it as that huge of a deal. I-frames for successfully pulling off a Focus-Strike is fair since it requires positioning and timing it can be used for great benefit, it rewards skilled play. Missing can punish the player severely which is also fine in my opinion, the risk-reward of Focus-Mode itself is fine, but as mentioned before, wounds itself are something I consider its own problem.

Ive also seen minor complaints about streamlining the gameplay making it so the game is easier and while I understand that ease of access and difficulty can sometimes be a challenging thing to balance, I like Wild's gameplay since I personally feel like it provides more room for players to show skill during a hunt (specifically fighting the monster since you dont have to track monsters) without having artificial barriers put in front of the player.

Also the performance for the game is awful, I know it "technically" isnt the gameplay itself but the performance interrupts gameplay enough for it to be mentioned here. I spent like 7 hours trying to make the game run after TU1 and I was losing my mind trying to troubleshoot the issue (thank you to people in the community suggesting ideas, you guys helped a lot), and even after all the troubleshooting, I still have game freezes and low FPS performance at times.

I overall love the gameplay and I'm fine with the Focus Mode/Wound system as it is in concept. In practice the damage is a bit overtuned and this is after they've inflated monster HP to compensate.

Wounds resulting in topples is fine as I don't feel it's frequent enough as only specific body parts, like the Rath's feet or Odogaron's front paws, can result in a topple. You'll never topple a Doshaguma with a face wound, for example (not counting KO's from Lance/Hammer/HH/SnS)

Gameplay is fun, the Clash feature is a nice addition which rewards good timing, Wound mechanics are nice to get a bit of extra loot and damage, plus those wound animations are nice.

Game feels too easy, we haven't had a wall monster yet, although some people are being walled by Zoh Shia, they'll figure out how to climb it once they stop whining about it being too hard, it's not, you just gotta learn the fight, but I think that's the problem with the game not walling us earlier, personally I love this fight, 3 phases feels cool, hope we get more monsters that have multiple phases instead of "RAWR ME MAD ME HIT YOU HARD NOW AND ATTACK RELENTLESSLY" :D

That said, that's always been part of Monster Hunter, and i love it :D

in all, we just got TU1 and people are starting to get walled, God help them when Lagiacrus arrives :D
I love this game i enjoy it so much but since i have been playing MH world for a long time i feel a bit disappointed from wilds not because of the fights are easy this problem is easy to fix in the future by new monster with higher difficulty and I believe they will
But what im disappointed in is how easy to get the rare loots for example arkveld gem you can farm for it easily by just going to sos missions and look for it in the guaranteed rewards like for me in one day i got around 10 of it hick if it was in MH world i will have to fight arkveld 10 times or more and i may not get it and also same for the decoration its way to easy or lets say the rate for a rare decoration to appear is way to high for example in just a few hours i managed to get couples of attack lvl 3 decoration and critical eye and critical boost all levels 3 in world it was a nightmare to grind for them even after the released all the event missions it was still really hard to get those decoration but that was part of the fun of monster hunter you spend days or months trying to get your perfect build to face stronger enemies and even after all this preparation when you fight lets say fatalis you get your a** kicked and soo hard on top of that but once you beat him you get a satisfying feeling of accomplishment
