FOMO of doshaguma rewards

Okay so let me get it straight. We have not yet recieved an optimisation patch, but we already get new shop items (which is fine by itself) and an event quest with a rewards that only 10k best players can get?

Funny thing is there is already alot of cheaters having 10s results, because mhw is known to be very poorly protected in case of cheats, but noone actually cared because they werent stealing anything from you. Now we are having this stupid FOMO mechanic where we have to actually contest rewards with cheaters. Just an outstanding move.

Remove this pendants from quest rewards and keep the game free of such FOMO things. Just keep this leaderboards so people can compete with each other but dont pretend MH is a competetive game with ranking system such as CS, LOL or DOTA.

Let this game be chill quiet place for evenings with friends and one of the best comunities in online games.

I will gladly buy all of the dlc items if Im gonna be sure I can get all the content, making you 3-4x of an actual games price. Keep this FOMO crap and I wont buy anything from you again.

they are still clogging the leaderboard preventing legitimate players from obtaining it.

Youre right, on the 10k thats my bad. When you mentioned fomo for some reason i thought this was gonna be about a non-cosmetic thing. I could see the issue if it was an actual something, but for cosmetic only its enh. If you really what to look pretty you can mod yourself to look like whatever without it affecting other ppl.
I like there being items that are limited to a hard activity, and i imagine capcom was expecting this to happen, which is why all the articles ive found about it state that you wont be getting the pendant for a couple weeks after the event, probably so they can clean the list out

As far as I can tell, that's top 10k for solo or duo. Meaning there are two different leaderboards to compete in for the same prize. With most cheaters either not knowing how to go into the duo boards, or just not caring enough to do that. So as a result it's a lot less competitive. For instance, I'm unranked in solo, but around 5000 in Duos.

As far as I understand it, the arena times of other players don't have any impact on the rewards you get, you simply have to get A rank time. If you only need to get it with one weapon pairing, or with all 3 for all/best rewards, I'm not sure.

From how I understand it, there is two different rewards. One for hitting A-Rank, another for being in the very top percentile.

Speaking personally, I don't want to be competing with anyone for anything, cheaters or not.
I've got no tolerance for games trying to rank me or slot me into a hierarchy. I game on my own terms.

Thanks, it's just most of the post makes me think 'why so damn serious?' I mean aside from some people having technical issue or need help or advice, screenshots etc with the game which is legit, other stuff just plain drama.

While i mostly agree with you, i think complains/criticism and some drama can also be a good thing to not let bad practice come to gaming.
Ubisoft failing hard is a good example of that : Don't mess with games and gamers, or you'll pay the price, no matter how great your IPs were.

The industry will try easy money because it works for movies and some other things, but a move is a two hours enjoyement were you usually don't use brain matter anyway, mess with it, people will complain and that's it, a game is a 20+ hours if not more enjoyement, and not the same price either, it's a pretty serious issue if one of your main hobby is getting bad because the industry make bad decision that are ♥♥♥♥♥♥, because in gaming especially those skill oriented like MH, you use your brain.

Although i agree that OP's complain here isn't that serious or whatever.

Bro just play the game, you had 2 weeks, Not Capcoms fault for tourists not enjoying monster hunter. All the pendants will be acquirable at a later date also.
