Realistic Arena times
Hi there.

I wanted to play around with arena a bit and try to get better times, so i looked at raning and well ... top ranks are all around 8 seconds. From there on out it gets more and more around 10-20 seconds more per 10 ranks. That surely are not real times and it is nothing new for MH to have that clocked with cheaters, but what are actually "good times" you could rech for the three quests available?
Is is "good" when i finish close to 3 min or am i just 1 min to slow? oO

Yeah the 7-9 seconds clear times on both leader boards are most likely cheated or achieved by abusing some exploit.
It takes you longer to to even reach the monster down in the arena, let alone kill it with some preselected gear that is far from optimal and a very small pool of items.

The last few pages (rank 9000 - 10000) of the scoreboard have more believable clear times at around 3-4 minutes for Rathian and 2-2,5 for the Chatacabra
I would wager to believe most of the last few pages are legit, anywhere between the 3-4 minute range on the Doshaguma one. Maybe some of the sub 3 minutes are legit with absolutely perfect play, but anything below two minutes is probably not legit.

The A rank is a good orientation for that, and after that it depends on your experience and luck. Got Rathian yesterday down to 4:40 after struggling so long with her always ended up around 5:30 and yet there are still people who are much better than that.

Why is Capcom taking so long to remove fraudulent scores?
For dosha 4-5 is above average. Most players can reach here with grinding and monster/weapon knowledge. 3-4 is definitely the top percent. Requires way more strategy and indepth monster knowledge with optimal plays with your weapon. Sub 3 requires luck. However its made easier with lance/hh Heroics.

For Rathian, 4-5 is insanely good for SNS/Hammer. 3-4 on swax/cb/gl would land you in the top percent.

My run times for rathian SWAX is 3:30. Rathian should be the easiest to get a good time. She is really easy to learn and has very predictable patterns with little attacks that require quick reaction times. Easy to optimize aswell.

Dosha GS is 3:22. After adding mounts to my routine. Originally it was around a 4:11. Can definitely grind for a near 3 but im too lazy.
Does any1 have a speedrun for Rath with the Sleep SnS?
Took me 10min. xD

I tried it with SnS and Hammer combo and got around 5 minutes I think. My unga bunga SWAX run was much faster.

My only try with SnS currently is 6'03"72. Could definitely do better if I were to keep going at it with the SnS. But my times are way better with the Para GL at 5'08"73. Gonna go in again while making sure to use both GL's Wyvern's Fire to get some more damage and lower time.
Other current times:
Chata: 2'48"78 Lance
Dosh: 4'13"68 Lance
Need to use more Charge Counters on Doshaguma, also not sure if starting with the hunting horn to do its small buffs and poison is worth it.

Typically bans come in waves to mess up cheat providers and the like. But not any real reason to wait on the obviously 0 second arena times.

EDIT: Yooooooo got 4'28"37 Rathian. Started with para GL, and swapped part way through the hunt.

My guess is they are waiting until this first season of Arena challenge quest ends, which i think is on the 18th (i think it's the 18th, or the 17th)

We basically have 10 days, 15 hours left, Capcom will take all the ranking data and hopefully they'll first scrub the fraudulent data, then tally from there with the legitimate numbers.

I think anyone who at least gets Rank A (a legit Rank A) will likely get the exclusive Pendent, while anyone in the top 10,000 will get the other one.

Here is a site that has the countdown timer, plus guides on how to get an easy A Rank and which weapon is the quickest. (It's Bowgun btw)

On the devs' side, banning cheaters while the season is still ongoing is just an endless game of cat and mouse. It's more efficient and also effective to launch a ban wave since there would be no point for cheaters to create a new account if they're not banned yet, yes?

My best chata time is just shy of 6 minutes. Im not so good at the game that I expected more, tbh, but it is disheartening to know that 6 minutes isnt anywhere good enough to compete with people one shotting the bastard as soon as they roll up to it.

To clarify, I mained IG and HBG in world, and am maining lance and HBG in wilds. I dont play other weapons at all. That time was on longsword. I am particularly proud of myself for it.

I would not call myself a greatsword expert, but I managed to kill it in 3 minutes by using offset attacks and the para knifes which give you a lot of openings for the full combo. Its a quite easy weapon and I think with a little practice on the offset timing, you can reach that time too.
My best time on Doshaguma is 4:05.25. I can't duplicate it but I did record it. https://youtu.be/CAUTgpZLL5M
Was pure Lance. I'm trying to incorporate the HH into it to see if I can drop the time, but idk how.
