Debris = 2 knockdowns. Shards = Probably 2 knockdowns (i never got 3 knockdowns with it). Hitting the head a lot while they are knocked down can instantly chain to another knock down, which I ususally get debris + 2 additional on first one, and then debris + 1 additional KD. So using the environment should help you give 7 additional KDs which can help a lot.
Besides that, hard to say what to get better at. Be a more prepared hunter? Mega armor/demon, dust of life + mats to craft more. Max Potions + mats to craft more. Chain supermans if you have to.
If you aren't timing out, then try more comfy builds, like divine blessing 3.
Monster hunter "in the past", was always about consistency - as your limited on supplies. You just have to practice playing it safe, stop being greedy with attacks and use life and dust powders to heal allies.
With Rocksteady mantle you can almost just sit under Zoh Shia and do your combos all day long.
And of course, the tips above too.
This.
I ♥♥♥♥ ass and im still over rank 100
