I never get to his big bang, the crash is always very early into the fight, probably 1-3 minutes of first attacking him and I'm pretty sure it's even crashed at least once before I could jump off the Seirket to start attacking lol.
No luck with the registry entry either or Core 0 affinity unchecked. I guess I'll have to send off an email to capcom support in the end.
Very unfortunate. I think it has something to do with the crystals, but I cannot think of an option or setting which would address that. Only depth of field, but that seems a tad farfetched.
Thanks for the response
To disable free sync on your monitor is by doing like this
These should have similar step for you to follow. Operate by push your monitor side button which trigger the on screen display option. Search for FreeSync/G-sync and turn it OFF.

It is an elimination process.
I would suggest you to keep disable the free sync on your monitor in the meantime, while troubleshooting other stuff so that's it would not cause any "free sync, g-sync" and driver crash related which can produce crash and instability in some system. Good luck!
If the option it was greyed out, check the support cable you're currently using on your monitor, consider use a newer one for better bandwidth&support.
Note : do not use "Flea market" cable grade. As it is potential harmful to both your monitor and GPU.

Check the "Key Features And Differences" for more info
If you have any flicker related, consider check this article too. Doesn't matter what is your current Panel type. It is a good to know stuff to prevent a future of bad buying stuff.

Cheers!
I have an update in regards to this, after turning off the G-Sync setting on the monitor it seemed to improve the game stability enough that I went through Zoh Shia's fight quite a lot longer (second attempt crashed a bit sooner than the first). It still crashes though. I'm at least assuming that it was due to that change.
Also I fired off an email to Capcom earlier about the issue, maybe something will come of it.
Very interesting. I am curious about the relation to G-Sync. I am using always V-Sync and it only improves my graphics - or rather, it is impossible to play without it due to screentearing. That it helped you puzzles me.
Out of place comment,
OP's processor is from 2017.
Frame of reference that is 8 year old CPU, looked it up before commenting.
Could it be that the game makes use of archetexture that is not possible for CPU to run?
YES.
Does Capcom have to make it work on his CPU?
No, in fact his CPU is well under the suggested spec so Capcom doesnt have to lift a finger, it is entirely on him to solve his problem.
ntel® Core™ i5-10400 or Intel® Core™ i3-12100 or AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600
OP's processor is from the year before.
Technically he could possibly solve the problem putting in a ~5000 series processor.
Honestly hard to tell at this point, I made two more attempts just now and the third crashed near the beginning of the fight again like before, and fourth I made it further but no big bangs yet before the game died. Thinking it's just a fluke.
I don't know how I got so far in the first attempt, even past two big bangs with no issue.
I will say that trying this appears to have worked. Now don't quote me to the highest level on it as it's only been about 2 hours since I've tried it, but this is the longest two hours straight that I've been able to play the game so far without crashes. Normally it crashes when doing practically anything from opening the game, looking at equipment, to just eating a meal. It's been real smooth since I cleaned up the windows cache or whatever these steps do
*Edit: I didn't use the Nexus installer stuff, just the windows terminal steps. Adding this as it's an evidence point, and I've had crashing issues *since launch*
Specs:
RTX 4080 SUPER
I9-14900KF
64 GB RAM DDR5
Windows 11 played on an NVMe SSD
Most players have indeed a very common Windows issue, leading to chain reactions wheras console ports like Monster Hunter Wilds is super sensitive with. Always has been with Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter Rise as well.
It is great if it works for you without the installers
I still like to recommend them since often faulty Windows components means it can be hard to restore them without fresh files.
Hey man,
I’ve had this issue with the 1800x and tried everything!! I ended up upgrading the cpu to a Ryzan 7 3700x and it fixed my problem. I took the crash report and ChatGPT it and it said something about the cpu no being able to execute an order from the game using a gen1 cpu. So upgrading it fixed my issue. I hope this helps!!
