Excuse me, I play with a 60hz montior.
Yea, i know, 120 is best, but I think the monitor i use is perfectly fine.
The whole point of this post was to ask, in general, if I was not the only one who, even on reduced settings and letting vsync cap my frames, was saying it is still unstable and very badly performing.
I dont know why you felt you needed to reply with such a bad faith condescension, but alright.
I see you everywhere, you dont even own the game. Why are you even here.
I haven't noticed a difference between Low, Medium, and High settings. I run the game on High with Raytracing on, but also turn on FSR with frame generation and get 60-70 FPS. It varies depending on where I'm at. I tested with low and medium and there was no performance difference so I just cranked it up. Without FSR and frame gen I get around 30-40 FPS. Makes a big difference. I have a RTX 2080/Ryzen 1800X, so you should be able to get the same fairly easy. Honestly with your specs I'd go to Ultra and FSR. I'd be surprised if you weren't at 60+ FPS.
do you play with the high res texture pack?
I play with everything maxed (except the high res texture pack) and dlss quality (I force the new transformer one with nvidia app) on a 4070 super in 1440 x 3440 and without framegen I can pass 50 fps, with framegen I have a very fluid experience with still everything maxed
1920 x 1080
No hi res texture.
I dont really use dlss as i found it has screen tearing. not sure if it still does but in times when i have used it before, it felt worse than just vsync.
And im not saying i cant hit 60fps, i can. its just usually when things get busy, ie fighting a monster or going into a crowed area, it drops hard.
I am on on the highest settings with my 3060ti and am getting 120 fps or more without issue. The problem is partly the game but your issue much like mine is you will be using the DLSS option for your upscaler ................. don't do this just don't DLSS is broken as in less than worthless in this game. Switch to FSR and you will fix literally ALL your performance issues.
The issue is DLSS that's the main problem with performance, sure the game could be better optimised but going from 45 fps with DLSS to over 120 fps with FSR shows me that DLSS is the main issue as there is something really wrong with. Hopefully they fix this at some point but until then just avoid DLSS.
Enable FSR and slap on vsync sure it will cap you to 60 fps as that's basically what vsync does but it will be a smooth 60 fps with zero drops.
You've got a better rig than me(or at least roughly equivalent in 4k, no RT situations, where the gpu is the bottleneck), either its matter of tweaking the settings more, nvidia drivers are borked(try rolling back maybe?) or I dunno, but you shouldn't be having that level of performance loss.
Thats nice to know, atleast.
Im on the latest Nvida drivers, I havent had any issues with frames in most other games I play, except Stalker 2 but thats it own issue.
What settings are the usual suspects when it comes to major performance issues like this anywany?
