Mind Boggling. @_@
But seriously, HR, as with all Monster Hunter Games means literally nothing more than the time spent playing the game. It's not going to help anyone who's fought this monster ONE TIME, in the span of two months. I'd imagine people actually need to fight it more than two times to learn the mechanics of the fight.
When I first fought the Zoh Shia High Rank, I carted once, mainly due to screwing around, and seeing how well a Glaive would work, and not really knowing how to play one, or that's the excuse I'll continue to roll with, as now I am GLAIVE MASTER- Destroyer of Zoh Shia!
Honestly, I got my Zoh Shia investigation within like 30 minutes of searching for it, and 2 of those failed, due to others dying, so, I just decided to go to sleep, and wait until the morning, until others had a fair shot at fighting it a few more times. Earlier today, I've had no problems with other groups now, the odd group wiped here, and there, but for the most part, everyone seems to understand it now.
"Experience in the game" means nothing. Difficulty varies wildly based on equipment you're using and weapons you're fighting. Once you have endgame gear 99% of the fights are "hit it for 3 minutes so it dies" so no, they're not improving, not even a small amount.
I don't care what "most people" will do I'm telling you what the HR means I don't care what imaginary percentages you come of with to cope with the fact I've given you.
The only thing that HR limit does, the only thing it's EVER done, is act as a soft form of controlling progression so new hunts roll out more organically. There are no new monsters between 50 and 125, so it's not a "nicer limitation" it's a completely pointless gatekeep that fails at a very basic level to understand the purpose of the HR mechanic.
The fact that you want ten plus million players to be gatekept from 50 to 125 with an EMPTY grind of zero new content just so you can be carried more consistently, just damn dude.
Do you understand what moving the requirements for Zoh-Shia from 50 to 125 would do?
It would make people speedrun Ajarakan+Gravios double hunt for 5 hours because that's the optimal HR gain. That's what you're advocating for. But god forbid you consider second order effect of what you're asking for. Better just cry about higher HR requirements so you can get carried more consistently. GTFO, like I said, just stop playing now, because you're not gonna make it through Arch Tempered and Master Rank when you're crying this much about Zoh Shia of all things. If you think things are bad for you now, lol. And nobody wants to watch your cry for an HR requirement bump every 2 months.
The first and only cart I had in my entire run through the game was because I thought it was the same as Safi'jiiva and did the worst possible thing: I stood directly behind the crystal.
Alma is telling constantly the mechanics.
125+ would help, but my last two failures everyone was 125+. I'm 300+ and play with my wife (she is on PS5) who is also 300+
We still failed despite the other two hunters being above 125, and in one game both were above 200 !!. I even played support with 2 different hunting horns. Friendship (Wide-Range skill) level 5 and buffed them with Mega Armorskin, Mega Demondrug, Adamant Seed, Might Seed, Defense Up (L) Melody, Recovery Speed (L) Melody, Attack Up (L) Melody, and constantly using Melody of Life for on the fly heals. Easily clocked over 150 buffs/heals in each failure.
People just need more practice against Zoh Shia, as most probably only fought it once in the story, and maybe a couple more after that. People complained the game was too easy, and now the more casual players are failing to a monster, and the elitist players are crying about it.
Solution? Start your own investigation with manual approval if you dont have friends or a squad to play with.
I've been doing it solo. It's definitely a big step up in difficulty from anything else in the game, but I've already killed him 3 times.
I've always found it a bit odd that so many people play MH as a co-op game with randomers. I understand the appeal of playing with friends, and I understand the appeal of fighting monsters 1v1 (which is much more satisfying as they are focused on you pretty much the entire time so you actually have to learn the fights, the openings, etc), but the thought of queueing up with randomers just seems odd to me. Each to their own I guess. Good luck!
