Worst advice ever.
First of all you can't even sever the tail in phase 1 and 2 so any damage back there is wasted. Second of all he takes reduced damage from those hitzones so you're effectively extending the phases where he takes less damage. Third, you should absolutely destroy the crystals instead of running to the edge of the map... doing the mechanics is what makes the fight easy.
No, it's true. You don't need to destroy the crystals during his ohko move, you can just stay at the edge of the arena. You can pop some of the crystals from there if you really want to be safe.
The tail can't be cut off until phase 2, but it still counts as a weak point for damage. When he's barfing fire and lightning everyone, it's better to get damage in on the tail than just stand there doing nothing because he is too high up to hit.
If you have read my advice you would have noticed that this is advice for the players that struggle, this the best way to learn its moveset.
This is no advice for people that have 200h+
Zoh shia feels a lot like Dark Eater Midar to me, where sure, you can make the fight easier for yourself by taking the low risk option and making it a slog, or face your fears and laugh in the face of a synthetic god and have a completely exhilarating experience doing so. Don't know why people gimp themselves outta fights like this
It's fun blowing stuff up and it gives you safe zones. I've even got a few knock downs during his charge attack using the crystals he runs through.
In my experience, doing the mechanics staggers the boss and prevents people from dying, but okay. I don't see how telling new players to ignore mechanics is helpful.
Ofc they're going to die if they don't do it when they're still white.
If you want struggling players to get better then give them better advice
Again, if you want to give good advice, at least tell people that they CAN break the pillars IF they have the time to do so
