Annoying Random Item Scrolling

Sometimes I hold the button to scroll items and it randomly goes to either a blank spot, a mantle, or my slinger ammo. I have outright carted because I wanted to heal but it decided, "Naw. Dung Pod." Is this a bug or a feature? I need it gone either way.

Haven't experienced what OP did, but I noticed ANNOYING issue that if you don't have slinger ammo or have net, when scrolling through inventory and going past flash pod it will 3/4 times auto equip flash pod.

Turn off auto slinger.

if you are in focus mode and mount for example or try to scroll i think it goes to slinger ammo ... i put away all slinger ammo and disabled the marker shoots and the net....now i always in the item menü to heal or whatever...hope that helps
