This is so bad designed... Just give all A ranks a pendant... 50% of those go to cheaters anyways.
Ahh, that sucks. I managed to cut my time down a lot to 4:23 but I don't think a <4min bow solo is possible. Fastest I've seen was 4:06.
I got a 3:55 GS but it's not one of my main weapons, so I don't think I can go much lower than that, and doubt it'll make top 10k.
IF they give out pendants normally for this, even tho pretty much half of the top 10k are obviously cheating.. then this game will never get any positive review from myself, since that would be straight-up stupid.
They should just change the rewards for world ranking into stuff like Gold Eggs, Vouchers etc. - stuff you can farm.
Exclusive stuff as rewards has to be the dumbest thing possible.
but yes, arena quests are about a true test of skills, stripping you of all the powerful skills and utilities you have on your gear, making you work with what they give you.
while i only play a few select weapons mostly, i could get an A with most melee weapons with either just my basic knowledge of said weapon and/or the patterns of the monster, or with a quick practice session in the training area. dont care of ranged so i didnt do that.
some weapon loadouts may be harder than others since they cant *all* be perfectly balanced (like the HH loadout being pretty strong in the current doshaguma challenge, provided you know how to use it) but all of them are designed to be able to get a solo A with some wiggle room if you play them well enough. And no, this is not with TA methods included. TA is a completely different story.
So where exactly was this stated? Because I Don't see this anywhere. Just that they were looking at the numbers and cheaters. Not that everyone in A would get all the rewards.

Also anyone who gets banned will be permanently banned with no right to appeal.

You sure you read it? Because none of this say anything about them investigating any of the cheating in the arena, or them handing out "permanent bans" for it, this is literally just a PSA about people posting modified quests online.
And even if they wanted to do this for the arena quests, genuine question: how do you imagine they would "investigate"? Besides getting rid of the blatantly obvious cheated runs that took a few seconds. Do you really think they have implemented anything in the game that would allow them to figure out if a person who got a 2 minute run with a HH is cheating, or if they are actually just really good? It's a possible time, and honestly not that hard to get if you just watch how somebody else has done it and copy it. I managed to get a sub 3min run myself simply by copying the strategy from the video, and it took me like 10 attempts.
For Capcom to have any shot at figuring this out properly they would need some SERIOUS telemetry. And let me ask you this: do you really think Capcom cares enough to spend all this time implementing something this complex for the sole purpose of weedng out arena quest cheaters? Do you think the opportunity cost here is justified? Not even remotely.
As I said before, the best you can hope for is they will get rid of all the obvious cheaters, and then leave the rest be. That's the only, realistic thing they CAN do without screwing over any innocent people. They wouldn't want pissing off anybody and losing out on potential DLC sales, would they?
Training School is what made me the hunter I am. Hammer v Rajang was considered one of the hardest quests in MH, at the time (and may still be in the top5, honestly) and is what made me a Hammer Bros from then on.
Plesioth v Heavy Bowgun was another nightmare quest and one of the hardest all time. Made the HBGer I am today.
Youll get there!
Yeah i watched stream of a guy covering this, here is twiter about it https://imgur.com/a/Ni5Yldz
cant find direct link to the post its in japaneese somewhere lol.
Also, the fact that they finally realized it's time to start banning cheaters is great news. How they're gonna implement it is their business.
first yeah ofc its that you have set weapons for a regulation
2nd you dont have to master any weapon to get gud times, i myself am just a gs guy yet i used hbg with a random togather and we made it to 4:37 (while i mostly got dmg) so just team up and be patient i had 10min run with ig eventho i play also ig so yh
