I feel insulted by the SnS in Rathian Arena
120 raw damage with sleep attribute while every other weapon has 150-180 raw damage + element...

I dont like the build but its supposed to be a challenge. i got a B rating so far. im going to work on it. i enjoy it tbh. i might not be very good but with practice even if i dont care for the build i can do it.

You have to rip open the wounds. They expect you to actually use that mechanic.

The problem is that it's impossible for me to get any lower than 7 minutes despite having used the weapon since World. Meanwhile, I picked up Switch Axe for the first time ever and got 6 minutes in the second try...

Do it with a buddy. If it works like prior games the monster has 2-person health regardless of entrants. If it is using scaling the split aggro means more uptime which means more damage.
Also they expect you to sleep bomb or use the hammer for wakeup hits.

Yeah, most likely the SnS is there just to prop the hammer. So 1 hunter would use SnS to put Rathian to sleep, then both hunters put 4 bombs and the other guy prepare to do a hammer wakeup while the SnS guy switch to hammer and explode the bombs.

But still, would it be too much to ask for an SnS with at least 150 raw damage instead of 120?
