1st Title Update - no materials from Zoh Shia???

So I basically beat Zoh Shia after going into a private lobby (had people join mid-fight and then cart lol). I beat him but when I went to carve the tail/carcass, my character would do the carving animation but I would not get any materials... I was carving for the entire 60 seconds and nothing. Then the cutscene played and I was put back to base camp, checked the smithy but could not see the armour, tried to see if I could re-fight it but the assignment quest is greyed (tbh I was that annoyed that I did not check Optional or SOS but I doubt he is in there).

Any idea why this has happened and is there anyway for me to get the materials for the armour and/or anything else that requires them.

Only have ReFramework and dll updates installed for the game to run, so I legit have no idea why I could not carve any materials from him.

your either bugged or fighting the wrong Zoh Shia (the one you need requires you to talk to werner in Suju and the accept the mission from Alma) once you do that you will get the HR Zoh Shia fight and once you kill it you can carve it for mats

I am hunter rank 147, 103 hours, I did speak to Werner, Olivia and Alma, saw the new cutscene.

I have had no issues with these installed, I literally got materials from Mizutsune just before I fought Zoh Shia.

just got the same issue. had reframework and some mods installed. carved so many times, but received 0 mats, nothing end of quest either. weapon and armour trees same as before with no new entries but hunter log has been updated with 2 kills.

so weird

Edit - uninstalled all mods, working fine now.

I have submitted a customer support ticket, cause this really sucks, apart from the bad optimisation the game is super fun and this really has put a thorn in me wanting to play... :/

The problem was you enable 3x or 2x carve material gain mods which doesn't work on new monster. Mizutsune only gives you 1x and Zoh Shia will get you nothing. Just uninstall any mods regarding material carved gain multiplier which is not updated along with 1st Title Update and try carve it again to see if it works.

Did you make sure to update reframework and all your mods before playing? There are some mods that will cause loot tables to be messed up in the current patch, so make sure you always keep your mods up to parity with the most recent title updates.

U guys probably installed the 3 times carving reward mod… and it’s not updated.
So the mod doesn’t know the new monster and gives u nothing.

I don't have any carve mods... just reframework and dll. Fought it again via an SOS and the same (maybe thought cause its story related or some nonsense) but still no cigar.

I'll completely uninstall and re-install my game and give you a verdict, if reframework was causing the issue, games probably gonna run like bum cheeks xD. Wish me luck.

It's common sense that having mods installed after an update will mess up your game. Make it a practice to uninstall everything whenever an update releases and wait for the mod to update to the new patch. This happened in Worlds every single update, this isn't any different.

Not the issue as i have REFramework installed. He probably just bugged it or something.

Think it was just bugged, cause I was not even getting any end quest rewards (no parts or decos either), complete uninstall and re-install, added ReFramework file back in and it worked :/

4 Zoh Shia's killed on record and can only make the Arms lol but at least it works now, just weird that every other monster was fine, even Mizutsune and of course the longest fight in the game just had to bug for me, was just very anti-climactic finally beating him and then not getting anything for it.
