Yeah i have a min maxed elemental setup, with Razor sharp/ironwall, Critical Jewel 3 and Guardian/Ironwall.
Perfect guard is supposed to cover you on all sides, as it does with many other monsters with flame attacks. Unsure why this would be the single time it doesnt tbh.
Also im positive im looking at the stream of fire infront of me sometimes, and it still happens. Might be a bug, or the boss is just bs with lance haha.
Perfect guard doesn't cover on all sides, it braces to cover from the front for no stamina loss outside of the extreme stamina loss that you use to use it. You can block the fire attack from Zoh Shia in the story mode, so it stems to believe you can do it in the HR version, but if the fire is not right infront of you, it won't work. You got hit on the head/back.
I'm sure I could shave that down a lot more if I just stopped getting hit.
Im almost positive it can as ive watched a guide that claims this + ive seen it in action plenty of times against arcveld when he rushes you from the front and then swings his chains at you from behind. Maybe im confusing it with another move, but its the guard you have to charge twice.
These are the deco's on my lance rn. Guardian/Ironwall, Critical 3, Rzr Sharp/Ironwall. So i should have 2/3 levels of guard up.
Maybe i outta learn some new weapons haha, ive been maining this wep since Mh4U.
Switch axe is way too technical for my tiny brain though lmao
It's really not that bad, not nearly as complex as Charge Blade.
Maybe il give it a shot then, itll be hard to unlearn blocking through, as im p sure it has no counter moves yeah?
