Did they playtest Barrel Bowling?
Burn a ticket.

Threw the barrel; it instantly detonated upon leaving my character's hands.
Line up for the second throw; it tumbled backwards into the crowd. Hopefully it took out a feline.

Burn another ticket.

Line up on one spot, take aim, roll, and watch it veer hard to the right.
Line up on the exact same spot with the exact same aim, but it tumbles twice, launches, and detonates in mid-air.

Burn another ticket.

Trying to account for it flopping everywhere with no rhyme or reason, aim off to the side; it rolls perfectly straight, goes uphill out of bounds, and explodes after over 30 seconds.
Next roll, it rolls straight down the middle but also detonates on only the second group of targets.

---

Conclusion:

Inconsistent physics, fuse timers of random lengths, and CAPCOM laughing at everyone posting "Perfect barrel rolling!" video guides.

Its definitely bugged if you just go and practice without using a ticket the physics make more sense vs when you use a ticket. On top of that the "rewards" I've gotten so far are items I already have hundreds of.

Who cares, it doesn't give any worthwhile rewards its just a minigame

Anyone with standards for things they paid for should care; don't let people take your money and slack off. :P

And before someone says "lol it was free DLC" as an empty counter-point: The hub was a core release feature in the other games and they clearly released this mess early without all its features.

It was probably made by an intern and the dev team doesn't care at all.
bowling seems to be a hit-n-miss kind of carney game.
you can still get an 'A' but the layout is really random

I'm laughing at Capcom, cause I have infinite Bowling tickets! (or I could* =P)

the Shipment dude in the Desert Zone has a chance to bring back 10 bowling tickets which is nice, but who has the patience to wait on that guy to bring back anything decent, or worthwhile, like Sinister Cloths, or Commission tickets?

I used Up all the free tickets they gave me, and then 10 tickets he brought me, and I could only manage to get B rank. Then seen some random guy roll, and instantly scored 504 points.

I had the same issue where i tossed a bomb off to the left side and it instantly blew up, and that was the run I was going to get over 500 points too. They definitely carney'd me.

I just wanna see what the A rank actually gives me, so I can personally know for myself that it's not worth doing.

I got A rank in my first 5 attempts. Not that hard to figure out the physics

Idk if there's a higher rank, but I knocked over almost everything, so I doubt it

You know you can practice before burning tickets right? Watch your footing with the guides and refine your angles. I can easily A rank consistently after mastering the course before burning any tickets.

for getting 'A' you get a new title and 2 weapon accessory chains. very meh.

Good for you? The physics and fuse timer are still entirely random for me during practice rolls; you can't "practice" against bad coding.

i have gotten A before, but it does feel like the physics between practicing and using a ticket are different
