Dual Blade's Perfect Evade Dash Sucks.
TLDR at the bottom.

Long explanation;
At first the buff you get from doing a perfect dodge may seem beneficial but it has been the number 1 reason I ever cart in this game. The animation for the spinning attack is way too long, and ultimately makes the buff detrimental if you're good at evading.

There are some times where it pays to spam dash 2 to three times to get in a safe range, but thanks to the animation of the buffed spinning attack you have way more frames of vulnerability and the animation is so sluggish at the end that chaining dashes is impossible.

It gets worse if you try mitigating these issues by using the follow up attack ( Y or Triangle for controllers) because the follow up has no i-frames, and prolongs the animation even longer with just a sluggish recovery as the base. So you may get little bit more distance but it's really up to you to decide in a split moment if its worth the risk of getting hit... Whereas if you had your dash you could easily time when you should stop dashing for distance and start dashing for i-frames.

Couple this problem with the nerfs to evade extender, and the weird bug of getting no distance at all when you're in focus mode sometimes because your dash will result in a u-turn instead of a back dash for example... it makes dual blades feel terrible for mobility in comparison to world, and rise.

If you play a lot of DB you'll notice these issues effecting your game play more and more. It's probably a big reason you cart. I wish it was optional other than not perfect evading...

TLDR: Dash sucks because the perfect evade buff dodge animation is too long, and sluggish. Nerfed evade dist, and buggy omni directional evade giving you no distance at all.

yeah I can agree with is if they made the animation go smoothly from the dodge spin into just being able to move again after it. it would be perfectly fine. when i get the prefect dodge thing that is the only time i really get worried about dodging because I know it is just not as good as the normal dodge
It literally slows ur dodging down when ur trying to evade an attack and u get wrecked bc he doesn't move as far as a roll does. I think it's absolutely the worst part of fuel blades

Thank goodness theres a tldr nobody gonna read all that ♥♥♥♥.
The feature is great and nothing wrong with it but after you enter the demon boost mode the perfect dodge animation is too slow to be followed up with anything except screw slicer thats why you should always follow up demon boost dodge with screw slicer when in demon boost mode it deals decent damage too with no stamina cost.

Yeah perfect dodge buff ruin dual blade flow instead of dodge to the perfect position to do 2 Triangle I get an ugly screw driver move which put me into ugly position and demon furry rush the free mobility move is now annoyingly inconsistent because if you in a slightly clove or ledge it will instead do an ugly slide with will lock you in place for a second after it done sliding and if you do press Triangle during slide you will do an ugly jumping screw that some time do a levi move that do ugly damage all of this addition is violate the perfect position and make dual blade "MOVE INCONSISTENCY AND UNNECESSARY" it fun when you first pick it up but when you want consistency and perfect position this weapon is turn to slop

DBs can kill any monster in 5 minutes, what do you mean you need to evade away and heal? You already have infinite I-frames.
It's better than the hammer "dash" that doesn't have many iframes AND you have to be charging to execute it.
