Zoh Shia is a stupid fight.
Looks cool, stupid f'ing mechanics. Chains attacks so frequently that only a few weapons can actually survive it.

8 Fireballs in a row is not ok. His stupid aoe, (not the telegraphed one, the other one) Comes out instantly and is rng weather or not you are even behind him to survive it. It's designed to be annoying. There isn't even any challenge, his attacks are just too stupidly designed with wacky hitboxes and the camera being useless the moment he's on top of you. He DEFINITELY doesn't need a charge attack, every monster that does that is stupid and annoying.

Edit: I'm not saying the fight is hard. It's actually easy. It just takes too long and his spammy nature in his last phase is poorly designed and about half the weapons in the game just aren't equipped to fight him. Also, saying skill issue or "git gud" is a souls game thing. Monster hunter games have never been difficult.

I've fought him about 5 times now and carted 0 times, but I do see plenty of people cart...

Many are one-hit to his fireball attack. Checking their gear and i see less then 300 defence and a weakness of -5 to fire...

git gud

There is no skill expression in this game, even this fight is easy, it's just obnoxious.

Fight is challanging. You need to actualy prepare for the fight with fitting gear and buffs.
Crybabys with "too easy and too fast fights" now have the wall they can hit against.

I enjoy it quite well so far. Also to support players, i am joining SOS-requests with my healer and support build. Managed to save many from death by now. So yeah, this fight is what a boss-fight has to feel like and has to be prepared for :-)

Nah, the fight is annoying and a health sponge. They needed to choose one, not both.

There's nothing actually "hard" about the fight. Every cart is either too many attacks stringed together or a one shot. Very little times I see someone die is due to a skill issue.

Sry but i completely disagree with you, out of experience and by spectation of many hunts so far.

This is the "skill-wall" quest many had hoped for. Now i am even more excited for tempered Rey Dau :-)

Fight's not hard, just hug his back legs/tail and 95% of his attacks can't even hit you. Step off legs to tail if he's gonna charge, step from tail to hind legs if he tail swipes...ignore 99% of everything he does and just spam mashing whatever button you prefer to attack with mindlessly until its dead. The only thing he does you have to actually react to is the heavily scripted one shot he does when he turns the floor to lava and you have a long time to move to safety for that.

So I'm failing to see where the "difficulty" is in this fight that makes it a wall...

Where is the skill expression? There is no "skill" in taking fire resistance to survive his aoe's on weapons that can't avoid them. There is no more "skill" in dodging his attacks in high rank as there were on low rank. It's essentially the same fight, he just has a stupid amount of HP.

Monster Hunter players man...

Never have experienced him that stationary to have this work. Positioning and focus is key here, mostly when it quickly changes positions for range and snipe attacks.

Massively over tuned fight to please the "iTs tOo EaSy cRoWd". The fight feels artificially inflated making it a slog. What should be a 20 min fight turns into a 35+ min fight.

it's less than 20 mins lel

He doesn't really move unless he's charging

Monster Hunter players man...

What are you talking about? He moves way faster then on Low-rank, his attacks make way more damage and he is not taking long breaks anymore between his moves.

Could you record a fight of you with him, because nothing you say fits what i experience and see so far. he is moving around like crazy.

What are you even talking about. The only "fast" move he has is the mininova that you have to be behind him to avoid. And if you happen to be in front of him when he does that nothing you do matters, you are just dead. That's not difficulty, that's B.S. As for the rest it's not hard. Only in the last 10% does it become even remotely challenging, and that's all due to cheap spamming.

The fight isn't difficult, Health and damage don't equal difficulty.

Yeah, It's not stationary at all, and the back/tail hit zone is like 1/4 damage of the front head/arms so unless you want to spend a stupid amount of time hunting it i'm not focusing the back

No i'm not going to launch my game and record the fight for you when I have to leave for work. If he's moving a lot for you then I guess you are playing a ranged weapon and moving a lot so he has to come to you? I'm playing mostly in MP and with 2-3 melee he sticks to his spot a lot.

When ppl said Wilds is easy, then Capcom gave a harder fight.. Ppl complain it's too hard.. what a joke
Salsicc 4 ABR a las 4:56
I am usually not one of the elitists, even by being a First Fleet. But man, Git Gud, really. Tourists needs to stop complaining on the easiest MH of the series, you wouldn't be able to kill a Kut-Ku in Freedom.
