Found a fix if you are still crashing for Windows
If you are still crashing, let the crash report complete it's compilation. Once it's done, go to the directory that the crash report says it has. Once you are there, open up CrashReport.txt and scroll all the way to the bottom. It should tell you that one of the file was corrupted. Go to that file in your game directory and delete that file (or backup a copy). Verify integrity through steam then the game should work now.

Do you think people do not know that?
Another solution if the crash report is unhelpful like not logging the problematic file, is to go full nuclear and delete everything in the directory EXCEPT the .pak files and maybe the config.ini file so you don't reset your graphic settings (since they wouldn't be causing the crash 99% of the time.) and verify integrity and you're good to go with very minimal wait.

If they do not, they should get a console instead.

Your response on every thread is negative and pointless.

The guy is just sharing information, if you already know it, cool, move on.

I didn’t know about this fix.
