Why mizu has to be locked behind fishing crap.
I haven't done fishing because it's boring. Now the galaxy brains at crapcom did revolutionary idea and lock actual content behind something equivalent of sleeping medication in a video game form.

It's not locked behind fishing quests, I haven't done any of them on my 2nd character and I got the notification Kenya wanted to talk to me right away after logging in

That what is it locked behind because Kanye has nothing for me and yes. I think 106HR is enough to unlock Mizu.

That what is it locked behind because Kanye has nothing for me and yes. I think 106HR is enough to unlock Mizu.
Huh, weird, it unlocks at hr 21. Did you get Zoh yet?

Yup and even killed it. I thought it was the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ find almas glasses quest that was required and i wasted my time with that.

Weird im HR 55 and was able to do it and I only did 2 fishing side quests. I guess something is bugged?

Yeah you should straight up just be able to talk to her and have it unlock the quest. The only thing I can think of is rebooting wilds

edit: and also just doing a fishing quest but I would've imagined the patch notes would've mentioned that

Tested that, still yaps about fishing but no quest for Mizu.

I had the same problem. I managed to get the quest when I did the fishing quest. Just the first "catch a fish" quest. Once I did that, the quest for mizu unlocked. So i hope that is the case

Reason i dont care about fighting mizu, same issue, and im not doing the fishing. Dont care, theres just not a way im doing the fishing.

I mean if what WanderingDayDay says is true, that they were able to do it by doing the first side quest then it will just take a second to do.

All you said is you don't care about it. Sure, I agree Capcom should just make a second dialog option when talking to her that you can access it immediately if requirements are met, but no need to be all pissy about it if it would legit just require you to fish your first fish in the body of water she is standing next to. It takes just a second to do that.

Out of curiosity tho what about the controlls for M+KB is borked when fishing, genuinely just curious

There is literally a pond with easy to catch fish right next to Kaya when you get the quest.

You're just lazy and have too much of an ego to admit it

Almost like the game wasn't made to be played with mouse and keyboard...wait

Seriously its still amazing how many people complain about games not being made with mouse and keyboard in mind don't well...work well with mouse and keyboard.

Also you can literally stand where she is, stand with the bait in the water, and move it ever so slightly, press the confirm button, and it's done.
