direct storage has no settings.
modern hardware platforms have it supported out of the box.
MH WIlds might not even have proper directstorage support though.
i have yet to actually see it function just once.
If you don't have GPU selected in settings, it will just not work.
Updated my game, removed the reframe mod to be certain, verified file integrity, booted up.
Not only is it now stuttering in the darn launch menu, which it was not doing before, the game is now using even more of my cpu... and of course, the graphics menu still cites the CPU as what DirectX is using.
My graphics are only set to high, by the way, because removing the highest texture pack DLC had been the only fix I'd found for the texture pop ins after doing every step of the troubleshooting thread.
I'm using a 12 core CPU and an RTX 4080-SUPER with 16 gigs of VRAM, by the way, let alone the 32 gigs of system RAM, on an up-to-date SSD with up-to-date drivers on everything.
What the hell do you mean, "just the wrong entry"?
