How to complete the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fish quest

Stg these fish ignore my rod, tried on multiple starting zones and even at the pond where the girl gives the quest but the bait doesnt do ♥♥♥♥.

and the squid loves twitching

Pretty much use the right bait and slow reel in front of it and pretty much everything will bite

i tried, but everytime i slowly reel they just sprint the fk away, or they just completely ignore it

first fish quests shoudnt make any problems ... you dont even need to move the rod

your either trolling or have a patience problem

Go to zone 14 in the scarlet forest, rest for morning plenty. usually the middle or right of the zone will spawn tuna. gas Tuna bite the most frequent and due to that are the easiest to catch. Bring large dung pods as mizu and Duth may show up.

If the gasTuna are feeding in the feeding frenzy pool, you can legitimately just throw the lure in the center of the feeding pool, and get an immediate bite.

you can cheese the fishing mini game a bit.

if you see that the whopper is actively chasing you lure and ready to bite, you can slow reel closer to yourself, as the mini game is distance based and the fish only bites once the lure stops, as long as youre not crossing the damn map slow reeling it, you can get the bite close enough that it only takes the first exhaust to capture.

if you try to cheese it too far, the fish will give up and swim away.

I had really bad rng so in total over multiple sessions it took roughly 8 hours to finish the achievement catching all of them whopper variations.

Fun fact: Petricanths can be caught with your Capture Net just like in World.
