and yeah, MHW was the first game where they didn't let you download event quests and no pause button of any kind. they seemed to forget alot of things actually in their drive to get a bigger audience with that game, bad equipment design, meaningless hub, confusing multiplayer, boring monster roster etc... they overhauled the game so much specifically to try and aim for a bigger western audience you know? you can read them saying as much directly in some old interviews
if im playing myself by not asking for more FOMO junk then i'll gladly play myself every day
MH devs are not hurting for support at all by the way, this isnt an indie studio. MH devs i bet actually gets more support than they should thanks to having familial relations with the bigwigs of capcom
With that argument you basically topple the idea once more - as there is then no meaning no it. Nationalism itself is not an issue. It is just meaningless and discriminatory to begin with a game which is played internationally and especially to encourage playing together.
By the sum of it: there is not much reason for something like that, unless you actually want a live service game.
thats where i prefer community events vs limited event quests
even if the trackers already exist for the devs to see, it allows our community bragging rights and moral increase. all for good fun but strategically useful
