Craft into Armor Spheres or Artian Ores if you have too much for your liking.
There used to be a legitimate reason to sell materials in the old games where items only stacked up to 99 and there were limited box slots.
Now though the items stack up to insane numbers so you're not saving box space by selling things.
That said, you can regain them more easily, so it probably doesn't hurt to sell things you have more than 50 copies of.
It would be funny to slowly see the house become a hoarders den with ceiling high piles of random plants and horns and just a little tunnel to let us walk to the bed or item box lol.
