Yep! Interesting fact it's not just Skyrim but also just the theme of the Elder Scrolls games in general. I was surprised Capcom went with that motif considering how connected it is to the Elder Scrolls franchise. Perhaps they missed it because it's a western game series or they just didn't care. It's not illegal to use of course but every time I hear it all I can think of is Elder Scrolls.

With the notes we have and the general musical sensibilities of people (like what kind of note progressions make sense/are pleasant) there's only so many different combinations of note progressions you can make. So eventually, inevitably, you'll start finding similarities.

I see where the other musical brains are going with this, but it's only so close for just a couple seconds, It's just some similarities in the notes, so you aren't crazy; but stuff like this happens all the time by pure coincidence.

I hear this sort of thing in movie and film music all the time.
